基于BNC语料库的强调副词使用特征与语义研究——以extremely & desperately为例

摘要: 本文基于语料库的索引数据，以强调副词extremely和desperately为例，对比了两者的使用特征和语义。研究表明两者在搭配、类联接、语义韵、语义偏好方面均存在差异，影响了它们在不同语境中的运用。研究示范了如何基于语料探究近义强调副词多方面的差异，结果表明语料库工具在近义词的探究式语言教学中具有广泛的应用前景。
Abstract: Taking the two intensifiers extremely and desperately as an example, this paper compares the usage features and semantic meaning of synonyms based on corpus data. This study revealed these two intensifiers differed greatly in collocation, colligation, semantic preference and semantic prosody. Such differences affected their application in various contexts. Besides, the research demonstrated how to explore the differences of intensifiers by using corpus-based method, which showed a broad prospect of corpus-based method in the inquiry language teaching of synonyms.
