浅谈《论语》中“君子”与“小人”的翻译

On the Translation of “Junzi” and “Xiaoren” in The Analects of Confucius

摘要: 几百年来，《论语》译本层出不穷，但皆无法准确传达原意尤其是其中的个别文化负载词。本文便通过选取不同《论语》英译本中几组“君子”与“小人”成对出现的句子，来讨论两词在不同语境下的独特意义从而比较其英译，并最终提出音译法的翻译方法。

Abstract: For hundreds of years, the translations of The Analects of Confucius have emerged one after another, but all can not accurately convey the original meaning, especially for some culture-loaded words. By selecting several sets of sentences in which “junzi” and “xiaoren” both appear, this paper discusses the unique meaning of the two words in different contexts and compares their translation, therefore puts forward the translation technique of transliteration.
