Abstract: Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. Compared with systemic therapy, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy has the theoretical advantage of delivering high con-centration of drugs directly to the abdominal cavity, and can reduce the adverse reactions of chem-otherapy drugs. At present, most of these patients benefit from hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, which is still widely controversial despite its good overall effect. This article reviews the clinical application of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in these patients.
