基于PBL和实验操作的儿童STEM英语教学模式的设计与实践
A Study on the PBL and Experiment-Based Teaching Model of STEM English for EFL Children
摘要: STEM英语教学中最常采用的教学方式有PBL与实验操作；教学材料语言要简化且增加可视材料、设计各种语言游戏。教学模式的设计遵循以下原则：1) 采用基于PBL的教学模式；建立真实情境。2) 注重动手操作，采用实验教学。3) 采用伙伴合作学习，两人共同操作、解说及读写STEM实验内容。基于以上原则设计的基于PBL的儿童STEM英语教学模式进行了参与儿童为6~10名的2次英语教学实验。结果表明：通过STEM课程进行英语的教学，或通过英语进行STEM课程的学习是有益和可行的。
Abstract:
The commonly adopted methods for teaching STEM English to EFL students are PBL and doing experiments. The teaching materials should be simplified and made visual, with various language games. The design of the teaching model shall abide by the following principles: 1) PBL based, 2) experiment focused, 3) co-operative learning used, with 2 study partners operating, explaining, reading and writing about the STEM experiment contents cooperatively. This STEM English teaching model is experimented 2 times in Tianshui city with a college English teacher as teacher. 6~10 pupils take part in the experiments. The results show that this teaching model helps children not only improve comprehensive English abilities, but also increase STEM knowledge and develop the hands-on capacities.
