The Influence of Family Socioeconomic Status on Cognitive Development
Abstract: Family socioeconomic status is an evaluation index that integrates factors such as family income, parental education and occupation. Studies have found that families with high or low socioeco-nomic status can have adverse effects on children’s development. Low family socioeconomic status may have an impact on individual development, causing them to face developmental risks in terms of academic performance, cognition, and more. Children from families with higher socioeconomic status have higher levels of anxiety and depression, and are also at risk of developing social maladjustment. Pay attention to the problem behaviors caused by family socioeconomic status, avoid the development of problem behaviors in time, and promote the good development of individual cognition.
