Abstract: The incidence of postoperative incisional complications in surgery is as high as 25%, and how to reduce postoperative incisional complications, promote incisional healing, and improve patient prognosis has been a hot topic of research in orthopedics and the entire surgical field. Closed inci-sion negative pressure therapy (ciNPT) is a widely used method of incision management that aims to reduce lateral tension in the surgical incision, reduce hematoma and plasmacytoma formation, contribute to faster tissue healing, and reduce the risk of incision infection and dehiscence. This ar-ticle intends to review the application of ciNPT in orthopedic surgery in recent years and discuss the progress of its clinical use.
