识解理论视域下文化负载词的英译比较研究——以《淮南子》的翟江月和梅杰两译本为例
A Comparative Study on the Translation of Culture-Loaded Terms Based on Construal Theory—A Case Study of Zhai Jiangyue’s and Major’s Translations of Huainanzi
摘要: 本文从认知语言学识解理论出发，以翟江月和梅杰两译本为例，对《淮南子》中文化负载词的英译进行对比分析，并对英译过程中译者产生的识解差异进行认知阐释。研究表明：两译本对文化负载词的翻译具有一定的差异性，两译者在翻译过程中激活了不同的认知概念域，选用不同的视角进行译文构建，结合自身的关注点对原文内容进行不同方面的突显，采用或详或略的语言表达形式描述原文信息。由此，进一步证实识解理论在典籍外译中的解释力，对中国典籍翻译研究具有一定的指导意义。
Abstract:
Based on Construal Theory, this thesis takes Zhai Jiangyue’s and Major’s English translations as examples in order to make a cognitive interpretation of the differences in the translation of cul-ture-loaded terms. Basic rules are found: in the process of translation, the two translators activate different cognitive conceptual domains, choose different perspectives to construct the translation, highlight the original content in different aspects in combination with their own concerns, and describe the original information in fine-grained or coarse-grained expressions. Hence, it further proves the explanatory power of Construal Theory in the translation of Chinese classics, which has certain guiding significance for the study of Chinese classics translation.
