译者的创造性叛逆——以《隐入尘烟》字幕翻译为例
On the Translator’s Creative Treason—A Case of Return to Dust
摘要: 电影作为文化传播的媒介,被广大观众所青睐,而电影字幕翻译对于电影能否走向国际市场起着关键作用。由于中西语言以及文化的差异性,国产电影字幕翻译很难遵循翻译的忠实原则,或多或少存在着对于原文本语言或者文化上的违背。电影翻译中的创造性叛逆可以给予电影一种全新的面貌,给观众创造一种全新的观影视角,从某种程度上来说,成就了别具一格的忠实。本文以甘肃张掖地区方言电影配音翻译为中心,以创造性叛逆为理论基础,对电影《隐入尘烟》英语字幕从语言、文化以及译者主体性进行剖析,并指出创造性叛逆为电影字幕带来第二次生命,实现东西方文化的深入交融。
Abstract:
As a medium of cultural communication, film is favored by the vast audience. Film subtitle translation plays a key role in whether the film can enter the international market. Due to the disparities between Chinese and Western languages and cultures, it is difficult for domestic film subtitle translation to follow the principle of faithfulness of translation, and there are violations of the language or culture of the original text. Creative treason in film translation can give the film a new look, create a new perspective for the audience, and in a way, achieve unique loyalty. This paper focuses on the dubbing translation of the dialect film in Zhangye area of Gansu Province, takes creative treason as the theoretical basis, analyzes the English subtitles of the film Return to Dust from the language, culture, and translator, points out that creative treason brings a second life to the film subtitles and realizes the in-depth integration of Eastern and Western cultures.
