诗歌翻译风格传达研究——以许渊冲英译作品为例

A Study of Style Communication of Poetry Translation—Taking the English Translation Works of Xu Yuanchong as Examples

摘要: 诗歌翻译在21世纪仍然对中华经典文学作品走出国门，传播世界，增强国际影响力起着举足轻重的作用。用译出语传达诗歌风格是诗歌翻译的关键，风格再现程度决定译作的质量。因此，作为风格传达中最关键的部分，语言风格的传达就成为再现原文艺术形象和艺术风格的中心问题。然而在诗歌翻译实践中，语言风格传达不同于一般诗歌创作活动，显得更加难以操作。本研究将基于对风格内涵和许渊冲翻译风格的认知，通过分析许渊冲先生的英译作品，探讨风格传达在诗歌翻译中的重要性，并总结实现风格传达的方法。最后笔者认为进行诗歌翻译时，译者应该通过准确把握诗人和译者风格的关系，选取最能体现原诗风格的词汇并保证与原诗相似的语言形式，以此来传达原诗的语言风格。

Abstract: In the 21st century, poetry translation is still playing a pivotal role in helping Chinese classic lite-rary works spread to the world and enhance their international influence. Using the target language to convey the poetic style is the key to poetry translation，and the degree of style representation determines the quality of a translation. Therefore, as the most critical part of style communication, the communication of language style becomes the central issue of reproducing the artistic image and artistic style of the original text. However, in poetry translation practices, language style communication is more difficult to operate than ordinary poetry creation activities. Based on the cognition of the connotation of style and Xu Yuanchong’s translation style, this study will discuss the importance of style communication in poetry translation through the analysis of Xu Yuanchong’s English translation works, and summarize the methods of achieving style communication. Finally, the author believes that in the poetry translation, the translator should accurately grasp the relationship between poets and the translator’s style, select the vocabulary that best reflects the original poetry style and ensure a similar language form to the original poetry, so as to convey the language style of the original poetry style.
