The Discourse Analysis of NHK’s Documentary, “Live with Whales”

摘要: 作为日本最具影响力的媒体之一，NHK纪录片在很大程度上代表了日本政府的利益，其内容看似客观，实则也隐含着种种引导观众情感倾向的技巧和手段。本文将基于费尔克劳的分析方法，从批评性话语的角度分析NHK纪录片《与鲸共生》，探究该片背后想要向观众渗透的思想观念和意识形态，以及其目的与原因。

Abstract: As one of the most influential media in Japan, documentaries made by NHK represent the thoughts of the Japanese government to a large extent. In fact, they also imply a variety of techniques and means to guide the emotional orientation of the audiences. Based on Fairclough’s three-dimension analysis framework, this paper studies the vocabulary and expressions of NHK documentary “Living with whales” from the perspective of critical discourse analysis, and explores the ideology behind the film, which wants to penetrate into the audience as well as the reason for doing so.
