Abstract: Lenox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) is a childhood epileptic encephalopathy characterized by multiple seizure types, abnormal electroencephalography, and cognitive and/or behavioral disorders. Most children with LGS have intractable epilepsy, often accompanied by intellectual impairment and de-velopmental delay, which seriously affect the quality of life of the children. In this paper, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, EEG characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis are re-viewed, in order to provide ideas and reference for the diagnosis and treatment of children with LGS.
