智能评改系统在高校英语写作教学中的探索
A Study of Intelligent Assessment System in Teaching English Writing for University Students
摘要: 随着人工智能技术发展,智能评改系统在英语写作教学中的应用越来越多。本研究旨在通过对三十位英语专业学生一学期的学习追踪,探索当下学生对智能评改系统的接受度、对自我英语写作能力的认知状况以及比较国内外两种智能评改系统的差异。研究表明学生对智能评改系统的接受度低于预期;对自己的英语写作能力的认知情况有一定提高,这也是一定程度上肯定了本学期的英语写作教学方法;两种智能评改系统在评改风格等方面差异性较大。在之后的英语评改研究中,授课教师应考虑智能与人工评改相结合的方式,探讨学生可接受、并相对能达到最大效力的评改模式。
Abstract:
With the development of artificial intelligence technology, intelligent assessment systems are increasingly used in English writing teaching. This study aims to explore the current students’ acceptance of the intelligent assessment system, the status of their perception of their English writing ability, and to compare the differences between two intelligent assessment systems at home and abroad by tracking thirty English-major students for one semester. The results show that students’ acceptance of the intelligent assessment system is lower than expected. The cognitive status of their English writing ability has improved, which is a certain affirmation of the method used in English writing teaching. Two intelligent assessment systems have significant differences in their assessment styles. For future studies, researchers could consider the combination of intelligent and manual assessments and explore the assessment mode that is acceptable to students to achieve maximum effectiveness.
