Abstract: Renal lipoma is a rare benign tumor of the renal solid. Its interior is normal mature adipocytes, and its appearance is an expansive mass. Generally, there is no capsule, growth is slow, the course of disease is long, and the clinical symptoms are not obvious and typical. Often, the corresponding symptoms occur due to the compression of adjacent organs by larger masses. Tumors originate from adipocytes and can occur in the renal parenchyma, as well as in the renal tubules, pelvis, and calyces. They generally develop unilaterally, mostly confined to the cortical growth of the upper or lower renal poles, and can also occur in the renal capsule. This disease should mainly be differentiated from renal angiomyolipoma. This article reports a rare case of giant renal lipoma admitted to our hospital and analyzes the literature to improve the understanding of urologists about this disease.
