Abstract: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a cardiovascular disease with high incidence rate and mortality worldwide. In view of this, it is particularly necessary to find an economic, reliable and convenient diagnostic and predictive indicator. Inflammatory reaction is a pathological factor leading to ather-osclerosis. Recently, inflammatory biomarkers are being further studied. In recent studies, a new inflammatory response indicator, C-reactive protein/albumin (CAR), has proved to be a moderately valuable atherosclerosis marker because it can determine the severity and prognostic value of CAD patients. This review focuses on clarifying the current research status of CAR related to coronary artery disease.
