目的论视角下英文海事新闻中破折号的翻译研究
A Study on the Translation of Dashes in English Maritime News from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

摘要: 英文海事新闻中通常涉及航运业的最新行业动态和前沿技术，将其汉译有利于拓宽我国在海事研究方面的国际视野。海事新闻中的特殊标点符号具有鲜明的多功能性，如破折号在英文海事新闻中具有改变语气、解释说明、强调要点、补充说明、总括前文这五大特点。因此，本文选取国际海事组织(IMO)发布的新闻为研究对象，以目的论的视角剖析其功能，分析其案例，进而总结海事新闻中破折号的翻译方法。
Abstract: English maritime news plays a pivotal role in disseminating the latest industry dynamics and cut-ting-edge technological advancements within the shipping sector. Translating these informative articles into Chinese is imperative to broaden our nation’s international perspective on maritime research. Special punctuation marks in maritime news exhibit a remarkable array of functions, such as dashes in English maritime news has the five characteristics of encompassing the ability to alter tone, providing explanations, emphasizing key points, offering supplementary information, and summarizing preceding content. This paper focuses on analyzing the functionalities of dashes in news releases published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) from the perspective of Skopos Theory. By examining pertinent case studies, this study aims to delineate meticulous translation methods for dashes employed in maritime news.
