Abstract: The problem of elderly people’s susceptibility to fraud has become a serious public social problem in China and abroad, and the large amount of financial loss and mental consumption has brought about serious destructive effects on the physiology and psychology of the elderly. This paper explains the concept and characteristics of susceptibility to deception, as well as subjective reports and objective measures, and proposes interventions based on the perspective of healthy aging by integrating different factors affecting susceptibility to deception. Future research can also conduct multidisciplinary cross-measurement to explore the mechanisms of susceptibility to deception in the elderly, and to refine the elderly population in order to reduce susceptibility to deception and improve well-being in old age.
