北师大版高中英语教材的生态话语研究
A Study of Ecological Discourse in Senior High School English Textbooks Published by Beijing Normal University
摘要: 本文在“多元和谐,交互共生”生态哲学观的指导下,运用传统议程设置理论以及评价系统的态度子系统对北师大版高中英语教材进行生态话语分析,考察教材传递的生态取向和生态观念,从而为高中英语教材的编写与使用提供建议。研究发现,北师大版高中英语教材人与自然客体显著性低,除了生态有益性话语外,生态模糊性话语和生态破坏性话语也有较多体现,并传递着“浅环境主义”等观念。
Abstract:
This study conducts a multi-layer ecological analysis of English textbooks for senior high school students in China by collecting the widely used state-sanctioned series provided by Beijing Normal University Press as a sample. Guided by the ecophilosophy “Diversity and Harmony, Interaction and Co-existence”, this study brings together the agenda-setting theory and the attitude system of the appraisal theory and aims to find out what ecological values and orientations are embedded in the textbooks and offer some suggestions for textbook development and classroom teaching. The study reveals that the object of man and nature is not salient enough on the agenda set in textbooks and that there exist some ecologically ambivalent and destructive discourses that propagate shallow environmentalism.
