Abstract: This article aims to explore the challenges and opportunities that aging brings to the field of social work. By analyzing the trend of aging and its impact on social work, this article presents various social work challenges brought by aging and explores the opportunities that aging provides for social work majors. Research has shown that as the aging population intensifies, the field of social work needs to address challenges in areas such as pension security, health care, and social participation. However, aging also provides new opportunities for social work majors, including increased employment prospects and the possibility of service innovation. Faced with the arrival of the aging era, social work should seize opportunities, solve the multi-level problems of the elderly, meet the needs of the elderly, achieve new development in elderly social work, and promote the improvement of professional skills and industry benefits for elderly social workers. By conducting in-depth research on the issue of aging, social work professionals can better respond to the needs of an aging society and provide more comprehensive and effective support and services for the elderly.
