浅析符号翻译学视域下的中国现代散文翻译——以张培基《英译中国现代散文选》为例
Analysis of Modern Chinese Essay Translation from the Perspective of Symbolic Translatology—A Case Study of Zhang Peiji’s English Version of Selected Modern Chinese Essays
摘要: 随着中西方文化交流日益加深，中国文学作品迈出国门。张培基《英译中国现代散文选》行文优美，内容典雅易懂，对促进中国文学作品海外传播具有重要意义。本文以此为例，结合雅各布森的翻译理论，即翻译的实质是符号与符号之间的转换，介绍了符号翻译学，从语内翻译、语际翻译和符际翻译三个角度对英译散文进行研究，浅析符号翻译学理论对散文英译的指导作用，以期读者能更好理解译作。
Abstract:
With the deepening of cultural exchanges between China and the West, Chinese literary works have gone abroad. Zhang Peiji’s English translation of Selected Modern Chinese Essays is elegant and easy to understand, which is of great significance to promoting the overseas dissemination of Chinese studies. Taking this as an example and combining with Jacobson’s translation theory that the es-sence of translation is the conversion between signs, this paper introduces symbolic translatology, studies English translation prose from the perspectives of intralingual translation, interlingual translation and intersymbol translation, and analyzes the guiding role of the theory of symbolic translatology in the translation of prose, so that readers can better understand the translation.
