Abstract: Objective: The objective of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of ultrasound- guided injection of platelet rich plasma in the treatment of partial thickness rotator cuff tear. Methods: 31 patients with partial thickness rotator cuff tear were selected according to the inclu-sion criteria and injected with platelet rich plasma 3 ml into the tear site under the guidance of ul-trasound, once every week for three times. The changes of VAS score, CMS score and Quick-DASH score were observed before treatment and 1, 4, 12 weeks after treatment. Results: The VAS score and Quick-DASH score of PTRCT patients at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and the CMS score of PTRCT patients at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment (P < 0.05). The differ-ences were statistically significant. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided injection of platelet rich plasma can effectively relieve pain and improve shoulder joint function in patients with PTRCT. It can be an effective and safe method for clinical treatment of partial thickness rotator cuff tear.
