Abstract: Kawasaki disease (KD), also known as skin mucosal lymph node syndrome, is a common autoim-mune disease in children, which can easily cause systemic vasculitis and is an important factor in acquired heart disease in children. The incidence rate of KD is increasing year by year, but its pathogenesis is not clear at present, and the etiology is complex, the rate of misdiagnosis and mis-treatment is extremely high. In addition, it is difficult to obtain tissue samples from children. Therefore, the construction of an ideal animal model is an important problem to be solved urgently. This paper compares and analyzes the pathogenesis of KD, the inducers to construct KD animal model, and existing animal model induction schemes, which will lay the foundation for the con-struction of an ideal KD animal model, and provide useful references for the KD mechanism, new drug development, and early diagnosis and treatment.
