基于纽马克交际翻译理论下的新闻英译策略分析——以掌中新贵州《一周精选》为例
Analysis of C-E Translation Strategies of News Based on Newmark’s Communicative Translation Theory—A Case Study on One Week’s Selected News of Guizhou Branch of China News Service
摘要: 随着中国日益走向世界舞台,新闻翻译在“讲好中国故事”的过程中起着至关重要的作用。新闻具有信息、感召和导向功能,帮助读者了解国内国际的实时动态,因此研究新闻的汉英翻译策略是十分必要的。本文基于纽马克交际翻译理论指导下,以掌中新贵州公众号上一周精选栏目的部分中文新闻为例,分析其在汉英翻译时遇到的问题及使用的翻译策略,以探索如何使新闻翻译实现目标语在表达意义和情感反应上与原语贴近,从而为新闻英译提供一定的借鉴意义。
Abstract:
With China increasingly entering the world stage, news translation plays a crucial role in the pro-cess of “Telling China’s Stories Well”. News has functions of information, inspiration, and guidance, helping readers understand domestic and international real-time trends. Therefore, it is necessary to study the C-E translation strategies of news. Based on Newmark’s communicative translation theory, this paper takes One Week’s Selected News in official account of Guizhou Branch of China News Service as an example to analyze the problems encountered in its C-E translation and the translation strategies used, so as to explore how to make the target language of news translation close to the source language in terms of meaning expression and emotional response, thus provid-ing some reference for English news translation.
