国内专门用途英语研究热点与前沿——基于CiteSpace的可视化分析

Hot Topics and Research Fronts of English for Specific Purposes in China—A CiteSpace-Based Data Visualization Analysis

摘要: 本文选取中国知网数据库(CNKI)中发表在北大核心期刊和CSSCI来源期刊中的365篇关于专门用途英语的文献作为数据样本，采用CiteSpace可视化分析软件，从总体趋势、作者及研究机构、研究热点、研究前沿四个方面对国内专门用途英语研究进行了分析。研究结果表明，国内专门用途英语领域研究发文量呈现先上升后下降的趋势；发文作者与机构独立性较强，合作较少，对这一领域持续研究的学者较少；该领域研究热点主要聚焦在专门用途英语教学、跨学科研究以及专门用途英语语料库建设方面；近年来，专门用途英语研究前沿和研究焦点逐渐呈现多元化的特点。然而，尽管国内学者对专门用途英语的关注度逐渐上升，但仍然存在研究方法单一、重理论轻实践、实证研究不足等问题。本研究结果揭示了我国专门用途英语研究领域的研究现状和不足，并为该领域将来的研究发展提供借鉴。

Abstract: In the present study, 365 articles on English for Specific Purposes (ESP) published in the core jour-nals and CSSCI journals in CNKI database were selected as the samples, and the CiteSpace software was used to analyze the data in terms of four aspects: the general trend, the authors and the re-search institutes, the hot topics, and the research fronts. The results of the study show that the number of research publications in the field of ESP show a trend of increasing and then decreasing; the authors and institutions of the publications are more independent, with less cooperation, and fewer scholars have sustained their research in this field; the hot topics are mainly focused on ESP teaching, interdisciplinary research, and ESP corpora; and the research fronts and focus in ESP have been gradually diversified in recent years. However, despite the increasing attention to ESP re-search, there are still problems such as the simplified research method, the emphasis on theory rather than practice, and the lack in empirical research. The results of this study reveal the current research status and deficiencies in ESP research in China, and may provide a reference for the ESP research in the future.
