文化翻译观视角下重庆方言英译策略探析

An Analysis of English Translation Strategies of Chongqing Dialect from the Perspective of Cultural Translation

摘要: 二十大报告指出：“深化文明交流互鉴，推动中华文化更好走向世界”。方言属于中华特色文化的一部分，同时也是一个地区文化的映射，充分展现当地民情风俗。在进行方言对外传播的过程中，由于方言独特的地方属性和文化内涵，给译者带来了巨大的挑战。本文从文化翻译观的角度对重庆方言的英译策略进行分析，探究翻译策略直译、意译、减译、改译在重庆方言翻译中的应用，更好地展示重庆方言所蕴含的内在文化价值，同时为后续重庆方言的翻译提供一些建议。

Abstract: The report states: “Deepen exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and promote Chinese culture to the world.” Dialect is a part of the culture with Chinese characteristics, but also a reflection of regional culture, fully showing the local people’s customs. In the process of spreading dialects to the outside world, the unique local attributes and cultural connotations of dialects have brought great challenges to translators. This paper analyzes the English translation strategies of Chongqing dialect from the perspective of cultural translation, explores the application of literal translation, free translation, reduced translation and modified translation strategies in the translation of Chongqing dialect, better demonstrates the inherent cultural value of Chongqing dialect, and provides some suggestions for the subsequent translation of Chongqing dialect.
