摘要: 功能语类一直是生成语法研究的核心问题。Martina Wiltschko (2014)所著的《范畴的普遍结构》一书结合形式语言学和类型学的研究方法，通过跨语言比较，挖掘了不同语言功能层级上的共性，建构了一个新的普遍范畴骨架。本文依次介绍了每章的主要内容，并给予了简评。
Abstract: The study of functional categories has long been a central concern in generative grammar research. Martina Wiltschko’s book the Universal Structure of Categories: Towards a Formal Typology (2014) combines the research methods of formal linguistics and typology to explore cross-lin- guistic simi-larities at different levels of functional hierarchy. By conducting comparative analyses, Wiltschko constructs a new universal spine. This paper provides an overview of the main contents of each chapter and offers a brief evaluation of the work.
