Abstract: Malignant biliary obstruction (MBO) is a common clinical disease. Obstruction is caused by malig-nant tumor compression and infiltration of the biliary tract, lacking typical symptoms in the early stage, low surgical resection rate, and extremely poor prognosis. At present, there are many clinical treatments for MBO, including endoscopic retrograde biliary drainage, endoscopic nasobiliary drainage, percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage and endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage. This article provides a systematic review of various biliary drainage methods for MBO, providing reference opinions for the treatment of MBO.
