Abstract: The formation of plaque in atherosclerosis, a systemic inflammatory disease, is largely dependent on the adherence of monocytes to endothelial cells and their migration into the subendothelial lay-er. The Eph family plays a role in monocyte chemotaxis, adhesion, migration, and the control of ath-erosclerotic inflammation, among other atherosclerosis-related events. Between monocytes and endothelial cells, the Eph family creates a complex network. This paper offers a thorough overview of these significant occasions, presenting fresh perspectives for potential future study avenues and the discovery of cutting-edge atherosclerosis treatment targets.
