Abstract: Because sulfonyl fluorine groups play an important role in organic synthesis, material chemistry and material science, the selective introduction of sulfonyl fluorine groups into organic molecules has become a rapidly developing field. Sulfonyl fluorine can carry out hexavalent sulfur-fluorine exchange reactions and bioelectronic isobars of amino acids can be synthesized by the sulfonyl group. Therefore, a variety of methods for the synthesis of sulfonyl fluorine have been developed. In this paper, the known methods for the synthesis of sulfonyl fluorine are introduced, including nucleophilic substitution, halogen atom exchange, oxidation, free radical coupling and radical addition.
