英语中否定转移的研究

A Study on Transferred Negation in English

摘要: 否定转移是英语特有的一种语法现象，专指否定成分由从句前置到主句中的过程。本文基于现代英语语法理论，对否定转移的表现形式进行了深入分析，发现否定转移多数取决于主句中的感知性或认知性动词，少数取决于主句中可能性形容词的使用。最后，本文利用递差分析法探究了否定转移对主句动词的语义限制。

Abstract: Transferred negation, a unique grammatical phenomenon in English, refers to the process through which the negative particle is transferred from a subordinate clause to the main clause. This paper, based on the modern English grammar theory, conducts an in-depth analysis of the manifestations of transferred negation. It is found that most transferred negation depends on the use of perceptual or cognitive verbs in the main clause, while a few on the use of possibility-oriented adjectives in the main clause. Finally, this article explores the semantic restriction of transferred negation on the verb of the main clause through a gradient analysis.
