大学英语通识教育背景下欧美名篇课堂教学研究——以《荷马史诗–伊利亚特》为例
Research on European and American Literature Teaching under the Background of College English General Education—Taking Homer-Iliad as an Example
摘要: 文章主要探讨大学英语通识教育背景下欧美名篇课堂教学,并以《荷马史诗–伊利亚特》为例进行分析。故事叙事是这门课程尤其是古典文学荷马史诗常用的教学手段。该论文从四个小故事入手,探讨通过这一方式讲解欧美名篇的必要性和可行性。希望通过这一教学方式,帮助学生进一步了解古代希腊文化、神话和历史,激发学习英语文学兴趣,培养批判思维能力,为更全方位英语学习及文学学习打下良好基础。
Abstract:
The teaching of classical European and American literature is regarded as an advanced course in non-English majors under the background of College English General Education. Storytelling is a common teaching method in this course, especially for Homer-Iliad. This paper aims to discuss the feasibility and necessity of story-teaching method in this epic with four short stories and tries to help students further understand ancient Greek literature, myth and history, stimulate their interest in language learning, cultivate their critical thinking ability, and finally try to lay a good foundation for their further English study and literature research.
