Research Progress on lncRNA BLACAT1 in Pharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Abstract: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a class of transcripts that are longer than 200 nucleotides, and since they lack an open reading frame, they do not encode proteins. However, lncRNAs are involved in multiple aspects of gene transcription and post-transcriptional regulation, thereby influencing the oncogenesis and progression of tumors. The long non-coding RNA Bladder Cancer-Associated Transcript 1 (lncRNA BLACAT1) has been confirmed to play a crucial role in the occurrence and de-velopment of malignant tumors by competitively binding with miRNAs, participating in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and STAT3 signaling pathway, and interacting with relevant pro-teins and molecules. In this paper, we will summarize the mechanism of action of lncRNA BLACAT1 in pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and predict that it is expected to become a novel biomarker and therapeutic target for pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma in the future.
