基于语料库的李白诗歌两种英译本译者风格研究

The Corpus-Based Analysis of Translation Styles in the Two English Versions of Li Bai’s Poetry

摘要: 李白是我国著名的浪漫主义诗人，他创作的诗歌具有极高的文学价值。本研究以许渊冲和大卫•辛顿(David Hinton)李白诗歌英译本为对象，从词汇、句法和韵律层面比较分析两译本的译者翻译风格及其成因。研究发现，大卫•辛顿译本在标准类符形符比、词汇密度和平均句长等方面呈现出更高的数值，表明其译文词汇丰富度和信息量均更为丰富。在韵律层面，许渊冲更倾向于保留韵体诗风格，而大卫•辛顿则偏向自由诗形式。本研究同时指出，译者的翻译风格受译者身份背景、翻译目的和方法的影响。本研究旨在对语料库译者风格研究做出有益探索，并促进李白诗歌的跨文化交流和传播。

Abstract: Li Bai, a renowned romantic poet in China, is highly esteemed for his literary contributions. This study examines the translation styles of Xu Yuanchong and David Hinton and the influencing factors of Li Bai’s poetry. Through contrastive analysis at the lexical, syntactic, and rhyming levels, the study reveals that David Hinton’s translation exhibits a higher standard type/token ratio, vocabu-lary density, and longer average sentence length, indicating richer lexical variety and informational content. Regarding rhymes, Xu Yuanchong tends to preserve the traditional rhyme schemes, while David Hinton leans towards a freer poetic form. Furthermore, the study highlights that the transla-tors’ styles are influenced by their backgrounds, translation purposes, and translation strategies. By providing valuable insights, this study aims to contribute to corpus-based studies on translation styles and facilitate cross-cultural exchange and dissemination of Li Bai’s poetry.
