Abstract: Severe acute pancreatitis is an acute abdomen with dangerous condition, many complications, poor prognosis and high mortality. In recent years, with the continuous development of medicine, it has been found that retinol binding protein, blood lactic acid and its clearance rate have important clinical value in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of severe acute pancreatitis. In-depth study of the relationship between retinol binding protein, blood lactate concentration and lactate clearance rate and severe acute pancreatitis can help guide clinical decision-making, reduce patient mortality and improve patient prognosis. This article mainly reviews the research progress of the application of retinol binding protein, blood lactic acid and its clearance rate in the prognosis of severe acute pancreatitis, and discusses its clinical significance and value in evaluating the prognosis of patients with severe acute pancreatitis, in order to provide help for clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of severe acute pancreatitis.
