高校雅思课程学习与大学英语四级成绩的多维关系研究——基于留学类项目学生数据的实证分析

摘要: 文章以北京某高校中外合作项目的学生为研究对象,结合一份自制的调查问卷与结构性访谈的方法,对国际化英语课程学习与大学英语四级成绩的多维关系进行实证研究。研究结果如下:1) 国际班学生的四级通过率及各项及格率略高于国内班学生,且国际班学生的写作成绩明显高于国内班学生;2) 雅思课程学习、雅思成绩与大学英语四级成绩呈正相关;3) 国内班学生大学英语四级成绩的差异主要由阅读得分差异造成的,而国际班学生成绩的差异主要由写作翻译得分差异造成的。
Abstract: This paper aims to conduct an empirical study on the relationship between international English course learning and college English CET-4 performance based on a self-made survey questionnaire and structured interviews. The research subjects are students from a Sino-foreign cooperation project at a university in Beijing. Findings have shown that: 1) The average college English CET-4 performance of students from international course class is slightly higher than that of counterparts from domestic course class and the writing performance of former students is significantly higher than that of the latter; 2) There is a positive correlation between IELTS course learning, IELTS performance, and CET-4 performance; 3) The difference in CET-4 performance among students from domestic course class is mainly caused by disparity in reading proficiency, while the difference in CET-4 performance among students from international course class is mainly caused by differences in writing and translating proficiency.
