中国英语学习者与英语本族语者衔接特征对比分析
A Comparative Analysis of Cohesion Characteristics between Chinese English Learners and Native English Speakers

摘要: 本文采用Coh-metrix 3.0计算及评估方法,通过TECCL和LOCNESS两个语料库,分别从连接词、词汇衔接和情景模式建构三个层面对中国英语学习者和英语本族语者的写作文本进行多维考察。结果表明,中国英语学习者和英语本族语者使在连接词的使用上不存在显著差异,但中国英语学习者使用转折连词和逻辑连词少于英语本族语者;在词汇衔接方面,中国英语学习者利用潜在语义关系来增强语篇衔接显著少于英语本族语者,中国英语学习者使用词干衔接显著少于英语本族语者,使用实词衔接显著多于英语本族语者;在情景模型建构上,两者不存在显著差异。
Abstract: This paper adopts the Coh-Metrix 3.0 calculation and evaluation method, and resort to TECCL and LOCNESS corpora to investigate the written texts of Chinese English learners and native English speakers from three aspects: connectives, lexical cohesion and situational pattern construction. The results show that there is no significant difference in the use of connectives between Chinese English learners and native English speakers, but Chinese English learners use less transformational and logical conjunctions than native English speakers. In terms of lexical cohesion, Chinese English learners use latent semantic relations significantly less than native English speakers to enhance textual cohesion, Chinese English learners use stem cohesion significantly less than native English speakers, and use substantive cohesion significantly more than native English speakers. In the construction of scenario model, there is no significant difference between them.
