基于生态翻译学三维理论的文化宣传片英译研究——以《第32届世界客属恳亲大会宣传片》为例
A Study on the English Translation of Cultural Promotional Videos Based on the Three-Dimensional Theory of Eco-Translatology—A Case Study of the Promotional Video of the 32nd World Hakka Conference
摘要: 随着全球化的发展,文化宣传片在国际传播中扮演着重要角色,对促进文化传播发挥着巨大作用。世界客属恳亲大会是国际上最具影响力的华人盛会之一,是海内外客属乡亲联络乡谊和进行跨国跨地区交往的重要载体。近日,世界客属第32届恳亲大会在江西省赣州市龙南举办,并推出附有中英文字幕的文化宣传片,宣传片中涉及到语言、文化和交际等多方面维度。在不同文化间传达信息,涉及到语言、文化和交际的复杂网络,生态翻译学作为一种新兴的研究领域,关注语境、语言、文化之间的相互关系。本论文以生态翻译学为理论框架,以《第32届世界客属恳亲大会宣传片》为具体案例,通过语言维、文化维、交际维探讨该宣传片英译中的案例,旨在为提高类似宣传片的英译质量提供新的理论视角和实践指导。
Abstract: With the development of globalization, cultural promotional videos play an important role in international communication and play a crucial role in promoting cultural communication. The World Hakka Conference is one of the most influential Chinese gatherings in the world. It is an important carrier for Hakka people who are at home and abroad to communicate with each other and conduct cross-regional exchanges. Recently, the 32nd World Hakka Conference was held in Longnan, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, and a cultural promotional video with Chinese and English subtitles was released. The promotional videos involve linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. Conveying information between different cultures involves a complex network of language, culture and communication. As an emerging research field, eco-translatology pays attention to the interrelationship between context, language and culture. This paper uses eco-transla- tology as the theoretical framework and takes the “32nd World Hakka Conference Promotional Video” as a specific case to explore the English-Chinese translation case of this promotional video through the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. It aims to provide new theoretical perspectives and practical guidance to improve the quality of English translation of promotional videos.
