情景喜剧中言语幽默的研究——以《老友记》为例

A Study of Verbal Humor in Sitcoms—A Case Study of “Friends”

摘要: 情景喜剧在不断的交流中相互融合和发展，并因其幽默和贴近生活的特点而广受观众欢迎。当然，这与其幽默的语言风格也密不可分。因此，情景喜剧中的言语幽默也受到了许多学者的关注。本文选择最具人气的美国情景喜剧《老友记》进行研究，从这一部作品中选取了10集的台词作为本文的研究语料，以合作和礼貌原则为理论支撑，采用定性和定量的研究方法，对这部作品中的幽默语言进行分析。本文研究发现，情景喜剧中很大部分幽默是通过违反合作原则和礼貌原则产生的。总而言之，本研究有利于观众更好地理解和欣赏情景喜剧和言语幽默。同时，也有助于语言学习者进一步探讨言语幽默生成的深层根源。

Abstract: Sitcoms integrate and develop with each other in constant communication, and are popular with audiences because of their humor and close to life. Of course, this is inseparable from their humorous language style. Therefore, verbal humor in sitcoms has attracted the attention of many scholars. In this paper, the most popular American sitcom “Friends” is selected as the research material. Lines from 10 episodes of this work are selected as the research material. With the theoretical support of the principles of cooperation and politeness, qualitative and quantitative research methods are adopted to analyze the humorous language in this work. This paper finds that most of the humor in sitcoms is produced by violating the principles of cooperation and politeness. All in all, this study is helpful for audiences to better understand and appreciate sitcoms and verbal humor. At the same time, it also helps language learners to further explore the deep roots of the generation of verbal humor.
