Abstract: With the development of primary school mathematics teaching concepts, the picture teaching method has attracted much attention as an effective educational tool. This article explores the application and value of picture teaching method in cultivating the problem-solving ability of primary school students. By reviewing the historical development and position of picture teaching method in primary school mathematics education, the key components of problem-solving ability and the specific role of picture teaching method in enhancing these abilities are revealed.
