A Study on the Translation and Communication of Tang Xianzu’s Works from a Cross-Cultural Perspective—Taking the Peony Pavilion as an Example

摘要: 本研究聚焦于汤显祖作品《牡丹亭》在中西方的翻译对比和跨文化传播中的重要性。探讨不同国别的翻译者所呈现译本展示出中西方人文精神的不同，本文通过对《牡丹亭》的译文对比分析，揭示了处于高低语境文化环境中的译者所采取的不同翻译策略，为中西文化交流提供了宝贵的洞见。

Abstract: This study focuses on the comparative translation and cross-cultural communication of Tang Xianzu’s Peony Pavilion between China and the West. This paper explores the differences between Chinese and Western humanistic spirits in the translations presented by translators from different countries. Through a comparative analysis of the translations of the Peony Pavilion, this paper reveals the different translation strategies adopted by translators in high-low context cultural environments, providing valuable insights for cultural exchanges between China and the West.
