Abstract: Cell death mechanisms play crucial roles in the occurrence, development, and treatment of tumors. This article reviews different types of cell death and their mechanisms in tumorigenesis, with a particular focus on necroptosis, ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and apoptosis, highlighting key regulatory mechanisms. It also attempts to discuss how to develop treatments targeting these cell death pathways, aiming to provide insights for the development of new drugs based on cell death for cancer patients.
