A Comparative Study of Discourse in Cross-Cultural Business Communication

摘要: 本研究利用系统功能语言学和跨文化交际理论，对比分析了中英商务沟通语料，揭示了文化差异对商务沟通的影响。通过对比不同文化背景下的商务沟通语言使用，发现文化差异可能导致沟通误解和冲突。因此，在跨文化商务沟通中，了解并尊重文化差异至关重要。本研究还发现，系统功能语言学和跨文化交际理论为分析跨文化商务沟通提供了有力的理论工具。通过对比分析语料，我们可以更全面地了解不同文化背景下的商务沟通特点，从而提高商务沟通的效果。这对于促进国际商业合作具有重要意义。

Abstract: Using Systemic Functional Linguistics and Intercultural Communication Theory, this study compares and analyses the Chinese and English business communication corpus to reveal the impact of cultural differences on business communication. By comparing business communication language use in different cultural contexts, it is found that cultural differences may lead to communication misunderstandings and conflicts. Therefore, it is crucial to understand and respect cultural differences in cross-cultural business communication. This study also found that Systemic Functional Linguistics and Intercultural Communication Theory provide powerful theoretical tools for analyzing intercultural business communication. By comparatively analyzing the corpus, we can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of business communication in different cultural contexts, thus improving the effectiveness of business communication. This is of great significance in promoting international business co-operation.
