Abstract: Hsp90 (Heat Shock Protein 90) is a molecular chaperone induced under cellular stress conditions. Since its discovery as a diagnostic tool and therapeutic target for cancer, research on Hsp90 has experienced explosive growth. Studies have shown that Hsp90α is not only involved in the survival, proliferation, and migration of tumor cells but also in the regulation of the tumor microenvironment. Furthermore, its high expression is significantly associated with poor prognosis in various types of cancer. Recent research indicates that p53 also has a complex and close relationship with Hsp90α, and their interactions play a crucial role in tumorigenesis. In this review, we will explore the role of Hsp90α in cancer development and treatment, focusing on its interactions with p53, a key tumor suppressor protein.
