A Review of the Negative Impact of Non-Compliant Tasks and Their Interventions
Abstract: Non-compliant tasks refer to tasks that employees consider unnecessary or unreasonable, which are not core tasks of their professional identity. As a new type of stressor, non-compliant tasks can have negative impacts on employees in terms of emotions, cognition, behavior, health, and interpersonal relationships. By analyzing the causes and negative impacts of non-compliant tasks, and based on reviewing relevant literature, this study explores intervention measures for non-compliant tasks to help employees and managers better cope with this source of pressure, thereby reducing negative impacts on employees and organizations.
