Abstract: SGLT-2 (sodium-glucose co-transporter protein-2) inhibitor is a new type of hypoglycemic drug, which acts on the kidneys and can reduce the kidney’s ability to reabsorb glucose, prompting an increase in urinary glucose excretion, and ultimately achieving the effect of lowering blood glucose levels. In recent years, SGLT-2 has been found to not only have a hypoglycemic effect, but also play an anti-tumor role by inhibiting glucose metabolism, inhibiting angiogenesis, affecting the immune microenvironment and other mechanisms. At present, the research on the role of SGLT-2 inhibitors in lung cancer is still in the preliminary stage, and this review systematically describes the research progress of SGLT-2 inhibitors in lung cancer, hoping to provide a reference for the future application of SGLT-2 inhibitors in lung cancer.
