An increasing number of synthetic Vitamin D analogues are now being used as new powerful drugs for treatment of various human diseases and also as sensitive molecular biology probes. This paper reviews the synthetic methods and advances in synthesis of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and related analogues.
