A Rhetorical-Cognitive Analysis of Unreliable Narration in The Woman Warrior

摘要: 通过综合修辞–认知方法分析《女勇士》中的不可靠叙事，一方面理解小说中叙述者的世界观与隐含作者世界观和范式标准之间的差异，理解作者的修辞意图；另一方面理解小说中叙述者的世界观与读者或批评家的世界模式和范式标准之间的差距，理解这些现象背后所隐含的文化政治意味，廓清种种误读。

Abstract: Based on rhetorical and cognitive ways of analyzing unreliable narration, this paper reveals and analyzes cognitive paradigm discrepancies between narrator(s) and “implied author”, and between narrator(s) and readers, so as to shed new light on appreciating the writer’s exquisite rhetorical devices, understanding the cultural politics between American and Chinese cultures, and clarifying some misreadings.
