Abstract: Non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a clinicopathological syndrome with complex etiology. In recent years, its incidence rate has been rising. The etiology of this disease is complex and closely related to insulin resistance and genetic susceptibility. At present, there are theories such as the “second strike theory” and the “multiple strike theory” regarding the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The liver, as an immune organ in the body, plays an important role in immune regulation. Relevant studies have shown that lymphocytes play a certain role in the progression of NAFLD disease. This article reviews the impact of various lymphocytes on the progression of NAFLD disease, in order to provide theoretical support for the early identification and treatment of NAFLD patients.
