基于语料库的中美能源新闻语域多维分析

摘要: 本研究选取中美主流媒体《中国日报》和《华尔街日报》2024上半年的能源新闻，自建中国对外能源新闻语料库和美国能源新闻对比语料库。运用Biber的多维分析框架，对中、美语料库的语言功能和语言特征进行对比研究。研究发现：从话语功能上看，虽然中美能源新闻语篇都贴近“学术说明文类型文本”，但在维度1和3上均有显著差异；与美国能源新闻相比，中国对外能源新闻指称明晰性、抽象性较强，但信息性、叙述性、交互性和即席信息组织精细度较弱。从语言特征来看，在67项语言特征中，中、美能源新闻在25项上具有显著差异。基于此，为中国对外能源新闻的语言运用提供参考，以提升能源新闻话语国际传播效能。
Abstract: This study analyzes energy news published during the first half of 2024 by China Daily and The Wall Street Journal, constructing two corpora. Using Biber’s multi-dimensional analysis framework, the linguistic functions and features of these texts are investigated. The findings indicate that while both Chinese and American energy news align with the “Learned Exposition” type, significant differences are observed in dimensions 1 and 3, as well as in 25 linguistic features. Chinese foreign energy news demonstrates higher referential explicitness and greater abstraction, but it is less informational, narrative, interactive, and precise in the impromptu information organization. These results offer valuable insights into optimizing the linguistic strategies of Chinese foreign energy news, enhancing its effectiveness in international communication.
