汉英网络社区抑郁群体身份认同的话语建构比较研究

A Comparative Study of the Discursive Construction of Depression People Identities in Chinese and English Online Spaces

摘要: 由于社会的快速变迁以及压力的增加，越来越多的人深陷抑郁情绪之中，抑郁问题日益凸显，受到人们对抑郁话题的关注。本研究基于网络社区“百度贴吧”和“Reddit”抑郁群体的话语语料，考察其主题内容及话语策略，探究抑郁群体的身份认同并比较其差异。汉英抑郁话语涉及八种主题内容，使用指称策略、述谓策略、强化策略、视角化策略和论辩策略五种话语策略构建五类身份认同：悲观的放弃者、积极的抗争者、厌世的逃避者、无助的受害者和热心的帮助者。汉英抑郁话语在主题内容上有三点不同，在话语策略上有两点不同，在身份认同上有两点不同。研究表明，抑郁群体身份不是内在的、固定的特质，而是通过话语互动过程不断建构的。

Abstract: Due to rapid social changes and increasing stress, an increasing number of people are experiencing depressive emotions, making depression a growing concern and attracting significant public attention. This study is based on discourse data from depression communities on online spaces “Baidu Tieba” and “Reddit”, examining the themes and discursive strategies of the discourse, exploring the identities of depressed people and comparing the differences in discourse interactions and identity construction between Chinese and English communities. Depressive discourse in Chinese and English online communities involves eight themes and uses five discursive strategies—referential strategies, predication strategies, intensification strategies, perspectivation strategies and argumentation strategies—to construct five types of identity: pessimistic quitter, active fighter, cynical escapist, helpless victim, and enthusiastic helper. There are three differences in thematic content, two differences in discursive strategies, and two differences in identity construction between Chinese and English depressive discourse. The study indicates that the identity of depressed people is not an inherent, fixed trait, but is continuously constructed through the discourse interaction process.
