Abstract: As a common clinical infectious disease, urinary tract infection is routinely treated with antibiotics according to the patient’s condition at present. The use of antibiotics and the route and duration of administration depend on the patient’s personal risk factors, infection site and hemodynamic stability, and are tailored according to the results of urine culture (including drug sensitivity). However, long-term widespread use of antibiotics will not only cause more adverse reactions, but also increase the antibiotic resistance of urinary tract pathogens. In recent years, antibiotic resistance has led to the use of more antibiotics in the treatment of urinary tract infections, and there are more effective and safe non-antibiotic substitutes. This article will provide readers with a relatively comprehensive review on the treatment of urinary tract infections, including the latest treatment of urinary tract infections with antibiotics and non-antibiotics, and provide new ideas for clinical prevention and treatment of urinary tract infections.
